"The LA was represented at 13 appeals... 5 appeals have been won via a Tribunal decision... Of the 13 appeals, 5 were won by the Council, 3 were lost via a Tribunal decision, and the remaining appeals were successfully resolved by agreement/mediation with the Parents. These involved a combination of work between Baker Small and the SEN officers from the LA." (13 total: 5 won by Council, 3 lost via Tribunal decision, 5 resolved by agreement/mediation.) The council also stated it anticipated (in an earlier internal report referenced by the requester) a saving of £273k/year to its SEND budget by winning a greater proportion of tribunals via use of Baker Small, but confirmed "The LA is unable to determine the actual saving."
