Response to 'how many SEND appeals were received by the council, and of these appeal cases decided by tribunal how many were in favour of the council', table of 'Number of appeals' and 'Found in full favour of LA' by year: 2019 - 9 appeals, 1 found in full favour of LA; 2020 - 10 appeals, 1 in full favour of LA; 2021 - 18 appeals, '1 in part'; 2022 - 19 appeals, '2 (+1 in part - extended appeal)'; 2023 - 17 appeals, '1 in part - extended appeal' and '1 not reached hearing date'; 2024 (to date) - 26 appeals, '12 not reached hearing date'.

Caveat: The 'Found in full favour of LA' column mixes outright LA wins with partial ('in part') outcomes and cases not yet reached/heard (explicitly flagged as such within the table for 2021-2024); the council did not separately break out lost/conceded/withdrawn counts. The original request also asked for SEND-provision spend and legal-team spend (2019-2024), which the council answered via a separate Excel attachment not retrieved here as it is out of scope (spend, not appeal figures).
