Freedom of Information responses

Requested by Michael Gaffney on 2020-01-31 · answered 2020-02-25 · covers 2017, 2018, 2019
Cases defended in first-tier tribunal: 2017 - 20, 2018 - 24, 2019 - 25. Cases the LA won: 2017 - 7, 2018 - 4, 2019 - 5. Legal costs: 'not held in any reportable format... to calculate the costs for defending cases at tribunals in any given year would necessitate a manual trawl of the case files... exceed the limit of £450' (refused under s.12 FOIA).
Caveat: Legal cost breakdown refused under the section 12 (cost limit) exemption. Lancashire County Council covers the two-tier districts of the county (Burnley, Chorley, Fylde, Hyndburn, Lancaster, Pendle, Preston, Ribble Valley, Rossendale, South Ribble, West Lancashire) — it does not cover Blackburn with Darwen or Blackpool, which are separate unitary authorities logged individually in this catalogue.
